Our boys are a joy to live with — confident, expressive, and full of character. Chosen with care for sound structure, stable temperament, and adherence to the breed standard, each brings something special to our home and to the future of Safari Schipperkes.
Rhys completed his championship with ease, reflecting his natural quality, balance, and consistency. He is a dog who doesn’t demand attention — his presence speaks for itself. Among the other boys, Rhys is the quiet leader, confident and steady, the one they naturally look to.
At home, his temperament is the opposite of imposing. Rhys is soft, affectionate, and deeply connected, with a sweet and gentle nature that makes him a constant companion. He often chooses to sleep close by, content simply being near. This balance of strength and softness is exactly what we value in our program and what Rhys contributes so naturally.
Barry made his presence known immediately, earning Best 4–6 Month Puppy in Show and then going on to win back-to-back majors his very first weekend out at just seven months of age. From the start, he demonstrated the kind of quality, confidence, and readiness that is impossible to manufacture.
In temperament, Barry is pure joy. He is outgoing, fun-loving, and thrives on interaction, never meeting a stranger and bringing an infectious energy wherever he goes. Beneath that enthusiasm is a remarkably solid and stable nature — the kind of temperament you always hope for. Barry balances charisma with soundness, and as he continues to mature, he is growing beautifully into the dog we envisioned, both in presence and in purpose.
Seger is very much his own dog — confident, self-possessed, and deeply devoted to his people. A true “man’s man,” he forms strong bonds and carries himself with quiet assurance. In the ring, Seger proved his quality by winning Best of Winners at the Lone Star Schipperke Club Regional Specialty shows and completing his championship easily with three major wins.
Though smaller in stature, Seger more than makes up for it with presence and personality. He brings a solid, stable temperament to everything he does, balancing his success in the ring with a strong preference for the comforts of home. Seger is happiest with his humans, enjoying simple pleasures — favorite treats, close company, and the endearing habit of rolling happily into your hair when you lie down.
Seger has also proven himself as a sire, with his get already beginning to show promise and accomplish meaningful things. This early consistency speaks to the qualities he passes on and the role he continues to play in the future of our program.
Hawkeye finished his championship extremely quickly, earning three major wins with ease and consistency. He is a dog who clearly enjoys what he does, bringing enthusiasm and presence to everything he takes on, whether in the ring or at home.
Playful and full of personality, Hawkeye is the class clown of the group — always entertaining, always engaging. When it’s time to come inside, he makes a game of it, and when he sees his mom, he launches himself straight into her arms in a single bound. Beneath that joyful spirit is a very sweet, stable temperament that makes him a pleasure to live with and work alongside.
Hawkeye is already proving himself as a sire, with puppies that are showing exceptional promise. His ability to pass on both sound temperament and personality makes him an important and exciting part of the future of our program.
Gus truly knocked our socks off, completing his championship with four major wins — a reflection of his natural quality and consistency. He is the strong, silent type, a dog whose presence is steady and reassuring, and whose sweetness is immediately apparent to anyone who meets him.
Content simply being with his people, Gus carries himself like an old soul — a quality he inherited directly from his mother, Stella, who was exactly the same way. He prefers calm connection over chaos, often choosing his humans and a favorite tendon or bone rather than joining the fray with the other dogs. This quiet depth of temperament, paired with his proven quality, makes Gus a special and meaningful part of our program.
Wilder finished his championship effortlessly with four major wins, demonstrating both quality and consistency from the start. While he carries a softer side, he is by no means lacking in confidence — a balance that serves him well in both temperament and presence.
Affectionately known as Señor Wild Pants, Wilder lives up to his nickname with the pack. He is always on the move, instigating play and making sure no naps are allowed when he’s around. Outgoing and full of energy, he loves meeting people and thrives on interaction. Beneath the enthusiasm is a stable, self-assured dog whose personality brings vibrancy and joy to everything he does.
The boys of Safari Schipperkes reflect the consistency, temperament, and quality we value deeply. Each plays a meaningful role in shaping the future of our dogs while enriching our lives every day.
